Where Specifically Does Lymphoma Develop?

Lymphoma can develop anywhere in the body. The human adult has approximately 800 Lymph nodes in his/her body. They commonly found in neck, axilla, thorax, abdomen, spleen and groins

1. Lymphoma cells collect in lymph nodes, often in the neck, armpit or groin.

2. It can develop in the spleen or groins

3. It can also develop in a hard mouth palate or in/out of the trachea.

4. They can also develop in lymph nodes and tissues (groups of cells) that are deeper inside the body like on the collarbone.

5. In some people, lymphoma develops in the bone marrow (the spongy tissue in the center of larger bones where blood cells are made).

6. Although it’s less common, lymphoma can start in other areas of your body, such as the breast, stomach, bowel, brain or liver.

7. Rarely, lymphoma develops in the skin. This is known as skin (cutaneous) lymphoma.
